Indian Couture Week 2025: The Rise of Embroidery

This year’s Indian Couture Week was a love letter to embroidery. Designers reimagined it as structure, romance, and movement all in one. From intricately beaded florals to sculptural surface textures, embroidery dominated the runway in ways that felt modern yet deeply rooted in Indian craftsmanship.

The runway sparkled with the presence of Janhvi Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sara Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal  each draped in embroidery that spoke louder than sequins.

Here’s how each designer interpreted embroidery and how you can recreate the essence of each look using our premium fabrics.

Rahul Mishra - "Becoming Love"

Showstopper: Tamannaah Bhatia
A symphony of nature-inspired embroidery, Mishra’s couture was adorned with 3D florals, silk threads, sequins, and beads, all floating over diaphanous layers.

Tamannaah looked ethereal in a petal-adorned lehenga that shimmered like a dream.
Recreate this look using our layered 3D floral nets paired with shimmer tulle or organza for that light, airy elegance. Ideal for lehengas, pre-draped sarees, and gowns.

Showstopper: Janhvi Kapoor
In a blush-pink lehenga with intricate tone-on-tone embroidery and pearl accents, Janhvi embodied quiet luxury. Jayanti’s pieces balanced old-world craftsmanship with a modern, minimal color story.

Dressed in a Black and gold ensemble layered with intricate resham embroidery, antique zardozi, and signature Valaya motifs, she reflected the grandeur of old-world royalty through a contemporary lens.

The collection was rich in detail, rooted in Mughal influences, and finished with modern tailoring and finesse.
